Breeding Contract
This Agreement, made and entered into on this _____ day of __________, 2011, by and between ______________________________________ hereinafter referred to as “Mare Owner” and Cowboy Creek Quarter Horses hereinafter referred to as “Stud Owner”.
‘Cut Me A Check’, 2006 Palomino AQHA stallion Reg. # 4853906 will stand at stud for artificial insemination at a fee of $500.00 during the 2011 breeding season with Wes Chappell Performance Horses, Redmond, Oregon. The mare being (name)______________________________________

It is agreed as follows:
Upon receipt of the contract and payment of $100.00 booking fee, which is not refundable, stud owner does hereby reserve for the mare owner one season’s booking for 2011 to ‘Cut Me A Check’ for the above mare.
The balance of breeding fee, $400.00, will be paid when said mare is brought in for her first breeding, payable to Cowboy Creek Quarter Horses.
The mare owner agrees to schedule with Wes Chappell for artificial insemination or shipped semen and pay any fees required for this procedure and mare care as appropriate. The mare owner is required to contact Wes Chappell at (541) 401-4042 prior to the desired breeding cycle. The mare owner agrees to follow any requirements of the breeding facility.
A live foal guarantee is offered. A live foal shall be one that stands and nurses without assistance. Proof that the foal did not stand and nurse must be evidenced by a written statement from a qualified veterinarian within one (1) week from death. The live foal guarantee will be null and void without documentation from a qualified veterinarian and if such documentation is not produced by the mare owner at the time of return breeding. It is suggested that the said mare be given Rhino shots at 5, 7, and 9 months. It is also suggested that the said mare be checked at 18 days and 45 days after conception show proof of conception.
The stud owner guarantees to a return breeding during the following breeding season provided the stallion is able to service said mare, or an approved substitute mare, should a live foal not result from this mating (as agreed above). The mare owner is responsible for any fees incurred (as agreed above). In the event said stallion is not able to re-service said mare, the stud owner may offer a live baby at sales price minus stud fee at mare owner’s option or a refund of stud fee minus the booking fee.
It is understood and agreed that should said stallion die or become unfit for breeding or should said mare die or become unfit for breeding before July 31st of this breeding year, this contract shall become null and void and only the breeding fee minus the booking fee shall be refunded.
It is understood and agreed that should said stallion die or become unfit for breeding or should said mare die or become unfit for breeding after July 31st of this breeding year, this contract shall become null and void and no fees shall be refunded to mare owner.

Breeding Contract Addendum
Breeding Facility: Wes Chappell Performance Horses
(541) 401 -4042
1. The mare owner agrees to contact the breeding facility prior to desired breeding cycle to set up appointment and discuss necessary requirements for said mare and any fees to be expected.
2. A $150.00 Chute fee shall be paid at the time of the mare’s arrival to the facility. All fees are payable to the facility.
3. Said mare needs to be free from infectious diseases, contagious or transmissible disease, and up to date on all shots including Rhino and Strangles.
4. Facility reserves the right to refuse any mare not in satisfactory condition.
5. The facility agrees to provide suitable facilities for the care of mare and/or foal while at the facility. The facility will exercise judgment consistent with the recognized standards in care and supervision of mare and/or foal. Mare care will be charged at a rate of $ __________/day based on a 30 day period. With foal $ __________/day.
6. The mare owner agrees to pay all fees incurred prior to removing said mare form the facility premises. Any questions regarding fees should be discussed prior to the said mare’s arrival to facility.
7. Shipped Semen: Notification of need for shipped semen must be made 24 hours prior to semen needing to be shipped. All collection and shipping fees must be paid prior to shipment of semen. Shipping fee $____________. It will be the responsibility of the mare owner to return / send the shipping container back to the facility. All fees applied to re-breeding of said mare for next season’s breeding due to live foal guarantees.
